Wrap Up: 2016 Visionary Tattoo Arts Festival | Asbury Park, NJ

This past weekend we returned to the Visionary Tattoo Arts Festival for our second year in Asbury Park, NJ.  So good to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, both tattoo artists and clients.  Building solid relationships is what our business is all about.

Rainy Days in Asbury Park, NJ

One of the reasons we love this festival so much is because it’s right on the beach, but Mother Nature gave us a good run for our money.  Each night it seemed to rain a bit, then the sun would come out in the morning.  Regardless of a little wetness, it was still an absolutely beautiful weekend at the New Jersey shore.

GO! Tattoo Removal Booth Asbury Park, NJ

The corner booth right at the main entrance was ours, surrounded by some of the most talented artists in the industry. The high ceilings and amazing patina of the Asbury Park Convention Hall makes this one of the most visually appealing places of American nostalgia to hold a tattoo convention at.  If only the walls could talk here.

Polenta Waffles From Cardinal Provisions

We started every morning at Cardinal Provisions, a short walk from the convention hall.  Next time you are in or anywhere near Asbury Park around breakfast, brunch or lunch time, stop in tell them we sent you. Thank us later.  Featured here are polenta pancakes with fresh blueberries and maple syrup.

Cloud Covered Asbury Park Beach

Not what you’d expect to see at the end of July on the beach, but still so beautiful.  Asbury Park is a very special place.

Best of Show Judging

On Sunday evening Mike was asked to come up on stage and help judge best of show. Some seriously amazing work was done this past weekend and picking a winner was not easy.

We had a free-to-enter raffle this weekend, and it’s now time to announce the winner!  Pulled at random, the winner of a free laser tattoo removal treatment is Christina Horn.  We’ll be emailing you shortly Christina, thanks to everyone who entered.

Over the weekend a reporter talked with Mike, read the article on the Asbury Park Press website.

This 3-day weekend was amazing, and went by far too fast.  We’d like to thank Shannon and Jon Jon from Triple Diamond Tattoo for being such amazing hosts to their festival this year.  It’s always an honor to be involved with tattoo conventions and hang with so many Instagram-friends that live too far to get together with on a regular basis.  Such rad art, tattoos, high-fives and good times happened this weekend and we’re already looking forward to next year.

Huge thank you also goes out to all our existing clients who stopped by and all the new clients we met and had the chance to discuss laser tattoo removal treatments with.
